Templates & screen types

Start from a template

Create a screen from a template, then change its words, colors, pictures, plans and buttons.

Use this page after you choose a template.

Create the screen

Go to Screens, then New screen. Find a template and click its card.

A dialog shows the screen in Light and Dark, with its type, category, goal and fonts. Banners, slide-ins and the like are shown in their display format, with "Best as" explaining where to choose it (Placements, then Display).

Name the screen and click Use template. The editor opens on your own copy.

Your copy is independent. Changing it never changes the template or other screens. Creating a screen needs the Editor role or higher.

Templates that are flows

Some templates are several linked screens. The button says Create N screens, and the field is Flow name. Each screen is named with your flow name and its step, such as "Welcome · Goal". They are created already linked: the Continue buttons go to the next screen and Back buttons return. The flows are Onboarding Flow (3 screens), Why You Left (2) and Product Survey (3). See Flows and questions.

Make it yours

Work through this list.

  1. Words. Edit every text. Texts that use variables such as {{ product.price }} fill in from your prices.
  2. Plans. Paywalls use package IDs. Change them to match the IDs your site passes. Prices shown in the editor are examples. See Packages and pricing.
  3. Buttons. Each non-buying button has an Action ID, such as get_started. Rename it to what your code expects, and handle it in onAction. See Actions and links.
  4. Colors. Open Screen and use Create from this screen to make brand colors, then change them. Check dark mode. See Colors and dark mode.
  5. Fonts. Change them in the Text panel. See Typography and fonts.
  6. Pictures. Photo templates use pictures hosted by Miniwall. Replace them with your own from the Image Library. See Images and icons.
  7. Countdowns. A template countdown ends a fixed time after you create the screen (Black Friday 72 hours, Win-back 48, Flash Sale Bar 6). Set the real end time.
  8. Close button. Most templates have one. The four Basics templates do not: add a button with Close the screen if the screen is a popup.
  9. Publish. Fix any issues, then publish. See Publish and versions.

Then assign the screen to a placement so your site shows it.
