Templates & screen types
Display formats
Which templates are made for banners, slide-ins, toasts, side drawers and launchers, and how to show them that way.
A display format is how a screen appears on your page. You choose it on the placement, not in the screen: open Placements, then Display. See Display. Templates marked "Best as" are sized and styled for one format, and each carries its own close button, because the SDK adds none.
| Format | Look | Templates |
|---|---|---|
| Banner | A bar pinned to the top or bottom. The page stays usable. | Autumn banner, Promo Bar, Notice Bar, Flash Sale Bar, App Update Bar, Referral Bar, Welcome Back Bar, Card Expiring Bar |
| Slide-in | A card in a bottom corner, a bottom sheet on phones. | 16 templates, listed on the announcements, feedback and onboarding pages |
| Toast | A small note that fades out by itself. | Upgrade Nudge Toast |
| Side drawer | A panel sliding in from the side. | Plan Details Drawer |
| Launcher | A floating button that opens the screen. | Plans on Demand |
Popups and full-screen screens use the other templates.
In the gallery, a card for these templates shows the screen in its format, and the dialog's "Best as" row names it. Nothing stops you using a template in another format, but check the result in the preview.
Banners and slide-ins that show on every page can use many views. See Plans and billing.
