Keyboard shortcuts
Every editor shortcut for saving, undoing, editing layers, switching panels and moving around the canvas.
Use this page to work faster. On a Mac use ⌘ where the table says Ctrl. Click the keyboard button on the zoom bar under the canvas to see the same list in the editor.
Shortcuts do not run while you type in a field, or while a dialog or menu is open.
Save and history

Layers

Click, then Shift click | Select several layers. Style changes in the Design panel then reach the others of the same kind. |
Delete or Backspace | Delete the selected layers |

Ctrl C | Copy a layer. Works in the Published view too. |
Ctrl V | Paste into the selected stack, or after the selected layer |
Alt Ctrl C | Copy the style of a layer |
Alt Ctrl V | Paste that style on layers of the same kind |
Esc | Select the parent layer |
Some layers cannot be deleted or duplicated alone, such as the inner stack of a button. The editor says "This layer is part of its parent. Select the parent to delete it." or "This layer can't be duplicated on its own. Select its parent." Top-level sections are removed from the Layers panel. A paste that would break the structure is refused with the reason, for example "Answers belong inside a question."
Pasting style needs the same kind of layer: "Style copied. Select layers of the same kind and press ⌥⌘V."
